Chiropractic is widely viewed as a form of healthcare that helps reduce musculoskeletal pain through conservative management.
This care can include only manipulation aka adjustments for many chiropractors, however, most of the time at Strength & Spine Chiropractic, we also include soft tissue work and rehabilitation exercises for our patients.
The majority of people seek out a chiropractor for neck pain or low back pain because it is understood by a lot of the public that we can help resolve back pain.
And yes, we can absolutely help guide you through your low back pain or neck pain and give you specific recommendations for your problem. That being said, it can be misleading for those that go see a chiropractor that ONLY manipulates the spine, because some chiropractors – including us – help guide you through injuries or pain in other parts of the body as well.
As chiropractors in the Tampa area that primarily help out athletes and active individuals, we treat more shoulder and knee injuries than the spine!
As an athlete, you use your entire body to move and perform at your best. So why should your chiropractic care be limited to the spine?
Of course, we address the spine when appropriate, but we can also help with all sorts of shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and feet pain or injuires.
Additionally, we address mobility and stability issues going on, and even look above or below the problem areas sometimes. For example, knee pain a lot of times in related to a mobility or stability issue in the foot/ankle or hip/lower back. We will definitely address your knee problem, but we may also address any ankle or hip issues that could have led to the knee problem. Addessing these issues can help with your problem long term, and gives you more information about why your pain may have started in the first place.
So, if you are dealing with any sort of pain while lifting or playing your sport – we can thoroughly evaluate the area and let you know how we can help guide you through your pain.
We are here for you for any issue that may arise!
